Chateau de Plassan
Chateau de Plassan (Premier Cotes de Bordeaux) has 24 hectares plannted in red grape varieties (Merlot 65%, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%, Cabernet Franc 15%) and 6 hectares in white (Semillion 60%, Sauvignon Blanc 40%). The vineyards average 25 years of age and are south and southwest slopes of clay and gravel on a calcareous sub-soil. Treatment and weed control are made according to a semi-biological strategy. The soil is regularly ploughed. The Chateau’s oenologist is Christophe Ollivier.
